Free scores

Here at Turandot, all of the scores are free.

According to copyright laws, royalties must be paid for 70 years after the author(s)'s death. If that time has passed, and royalties no longer need to be paid, then we use the advantages of distribution over the Internet to give these scores away for free. This means you don’t have to pay the printing costs, the distributor, or the music stores.

You can use the scores without any restrictions (you can print as many copies as you like, you can transpose them, you can add notes to them, you can extract parts, you can supply a whole orchestra with scores just by downloading one file).

You should visit our site often, because the number of free scores available for you to select and download will grow.

How to use the catalogue

Browse by Composer
Composers are listed alphabetically. Every composer's name starts with his family name followed by a comma and then comes the Christian name.
Ex.: Bach, Johann Sebastian; Vivaldi, Antonio

Browse by Timeline
The timeline is arranged according to the composer's birthday and is grouped by century.
Ex.: 1700
Schubert, Francz Peter (1797-1828).

Browse by Title
The works are listed alphabetically with words such as "A", "The" or "Das" separated by a comma. When searching for a title, search for the title without the article.
Ex: Easy Winners, The
Wohltemperierte Klavier, Das.

Browse by Keywords
Works can be searched by keyword.
For example, the work entitled xxx can be found by using x, y, or z as keywords.
