Texts

Text window

Turandot comes with an easy to use Text window.

In one text block, you can use different types of font styles and sizes.
It is very easy to insert musical or special characters.

Invisible and Opaque text can be used.

A wide range of borders can be drawn around text.

Useful words

You can use predefined words to search for common words that are often used.
Furthermore, you don't have to type the whole word; the program will bring up words or phrases corresponding to the letters you type in the word field.
F
or example, if you type in “Ludw”, the program will recognize this as “Ludwig van Beethoven”.

Text styles

Predefined staff, system, and page text styles. For example, there are styles for Expession, Title, and Footer, etc.

It is very easy to make global text-font changes.

Bookmarks

You can use texts as bookmarks. For example, you might use bookmarks to indentify the movements, tempo changes, rehearsal marks. Instead of scrolling through the score to locate the texts, you can go to it by using the Bookmarks dialog box.

Double positions

In large scores, system texts (tempo, metronome mark) donát just appear at the top, but are duplicated lower down as well (normally above the strings).
The lower text can be moved or hidden independently.

Lyrics

Type lyrics directly into the score.
Automatically align lyrics with notes and respace notes to avoid collisions of lyrics.
Turandot support
multiple-language scores. (Turandot does not currently support Unicode, but has the concept of mixing code pages within a document, and associating code pages with sections or with fonts.)

Copy lyrics from/to word processors.
